Our mining offering is a growing area of expertise with a specialist focus on mineral extraction and processing. Mineral extraction is generally separated into surface mining or underground seam mining with surface extraction concerning mechanical or aqueous extraction (by hydraulic mining or dredging) and underground mining involving self-supported, supported or caving methods. Mining losses are typically complex and interruption to the mining operations more costly than the material damage events; thus requiring an immediate focus to mitigate losses and restart operations. The industry involves significant environmental exposures which can result in highly publicised loss events, requiring an experienced team to handle such losses. With a specific focus on the Americas and Africa, we provide a focused offering from our London and American hubs.
