Obi has nearly three decades of experience in the loss adjusting field working for international markets. Throughout his career, he has dealt with large and complex Commercial & Industrial property losses, CAR (Builder’s Risk) and EAR (Erection Risks), amongst other business lines. Obi began his adjusting career at an early age and has a successful professional path, having worked for leading claims management firms on assignments in America, Africa, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. Before joining Advanta, Obi held the position of Head Office Large & Complex Claims Specialist for EBI and Energy at a leading insurance company for their Canadian operation. At Advanta, he leads the Abu Dhabi office to continue our brand positioning in the Middle East.

John has 43 years of experience within the insurance industry, including over 27 years of adjusting experience in West Africa, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He started his career in the insurance sector in 1980 with a leading UK Insurer as an engineer surveyor. He then joined the adjusting profession in 1996 with a UK loss adjusting company, working overseas, mainly in West Africa and dealing with construction, engineering, and marine losses. After working in various parts of the world, John returned to the Middle East in 2013 where he joined an international adjuster in their Al-Khobar office, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as an engineering loss adjuster and in 2015 he was promoted to Branch Manager. John has experience working on many major losses in construction, utility, power, energy, petrochemical, and offshore and onshore. He has also undertaken catastrophe work in the Caribbean and Greece.
