Chen Yu is a qualified adjuster with over 18 years’ experience in claims management. He started his career in Huatai as a marine cargo surveyor and adjuster, and in 2004 became the General Manager of the Agency Department. Chen Yu has vast expertise in the management of non-marine claims and throughout his career has monitored hundreds of major claims related to some of the following: Beijing Subway (Construction and Erection), Tianjin Port Blast, Dalian Offshore Platforms (Credit Claims) and Henan Rainstorm, amongst others. In addition, he was the Chief drafter of the Basic Principles of Insurance Valuation for the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.
