Richard Gross joins Advanta Global Services

Richard Gross has joined
Advanta Global Services to strengthen our global technical lines team.
Richard is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Chartered Loss Adjuster, with over 34 years’ experience within the insurance industry. Over the course of his career, he has dealt with CAR / EAR (including DSU / ALOP and specialised contractors’ programs for Liquidated Damages), engineering (power generation - including renewables and BI), Oil & Gas (predominantly onshore/downstream) and Industrial risks losses.
Richard commenced his professional career as a Loss Adjuster in 1986, initially in the dedicated construction division of a London based adjusting operation, dealing with CAR/EAR losses throughout the UK and mainland Europe.
Furthermore, Richard has a long and varied expatriate career path, having worked and lived in South East Asia, the Middle East and France. In 1999 he moved to Mexico to become Regional Director for Latin America of a large international loss adjusting practice and spent over 13 years living in Latin America, focusing principally on large and complex losses throughout the region.
In recent years Richard has continued to work extensively in Latin America and elsewhere. Richard is a regular contributor to technical publications and seminars in the Americas region and has also acted as an expert witness in several arbitration / litigation proceedings in Latin America. He is also the representative for Latin America on the CILA International Special Interest Group.
