Tropical Storm Fiona has formed in the Atlantic, becoming the sixth storm of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season (which began June 1), the US National Hurricane Center said.

According to the Center, Fiona’s top winds have reached 50 miles (80 kilometers) per hour and could peak at 65 mph as it moves through the Caribbean next week causing heavy rain which could lead to floods in the affected areas.
Following the reports from the National Center, tropical storm warnings have been issued for several Caribbean islands including St. Maarten, St. Kitts and Montserrat and further warnings will be likely to be issued on Thursday for parts of the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Hispaniola.
