Following the devastation that Hurricane Otis left behind, ADVANTA’s catastrophe team has been in action on the ground in Acapulco since Wednesday 25th October.
Otis’ destructive winds were the strongest ever to come ashore along with the heavy rain making this the worst storm this area and the Pacific coast of Mexico has ever seen.
ADVANTAs team, including adjusters from our offices in Mexico and the United States, are dealing with claims from various insurers and reinsurers in the affected areas and remain ready and available to provide assistance to meet policyholder and claimant needs during these critical times. This includes supporting international markets in the supervisions of local adjusters and assisting reinsurers in the risk verification process in the affected areas.
Our
ADVANTA team in the region is also dealing with claims arising from Hurricane Norma, which hit the State of Baja California a few days before Otis struck.
