ADVANTA GLOBAL SERVICES is delighted to announce the appointment of John Donald as Global Energy Director.
John will take a leading role in the Global Energy team, predominantly on worldwide claims and projects utilising his extensive international experience in the onshore and offshore energy markets.
John has been operating within the energy industry for over 30 years, initially in the Middle East before transferring to London in 1990. John has built up valuable experience and has a proven track record of managing the adjustment of many complex energy claims throughout the world.
John joins Advanta after a successful career at Charles Taylor Adjusting where he most recently held the position of Chairman of the Natural Resources division. John had earlier developed his loss adjusting career working at Matthews Daniel International, where he focused on international energy claims. In his early career, John worked for British Steel and on engineering projects in UK-based Petrochemical facilities.
John has also gained valuable industry experience having been involved in the adjustment of construction claims, hurricane-related losses, property damage, well control and OEE losses, Loss of Production Income (LOPI) and Business Interruption (BI).
John will help to strengthen Advanta’s Global Energy capability, as well as contribute to the thriving international community across the Company’s network of over 50 offices around the world, including the main energy hubs in Europe, the Americas and the Middle East. John will work alongside Executive Director Oliver Thoma in London, to enhance Advanta’s global reputation within the energy industry. Due to the Company’s existing technical expertise, in-depth policy knowledge and experience, Advanta is available to successfully handle a variety of Energy and Power losses. The Company also benefits from a highly proficient team of experts in associated disciplines internationally.
John holds City & Guilds and BTEC Mechanical Engineering qualifications and is a Certified CII professional. He is also specialised in Onshore and Offshore Energy/ Natural Resources - Upstream and Downstream, Risk Management, Commercial Insurance, Property & Casualty.
