Forensic Accountant - London

Location: London, City (EC3N)
Salary: Competitive salary and package (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract type: Permanent with 6 months’ probation period
Working hours: Core business hours of 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Additional hours as required.

Our Forensic Accountants serve both the UK and international insurance and reinsurance marketing on a wide array of complex losses.

This position is based at our headquarters in London but may require domestic or international travel for fieldwork activities. 

Forensic Accountants have responsibility for the following activities:

- Providing expertise on insurance claim valuations for Business Interruption, DSU/ALOP, including claims management, policy analysis and interpretation, claims preparation and calculation.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial analysis and investigative procedures in connection with various damage quantifications.
- Preparing quantum assessments for arbitration and Court purposes, as required.
- Providing formal written reports and / or verbal presentations.
- Developing relationships with internal and external clients.
- Developing and implementing strategies to expand relationships with internal and external clients.
- Delivering presentations to clients and to the insurance market.
- Ad-hoc duties as required.

Skills / Experience / Requirements:

Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK without restrictions.

Ideal applicants will have / be:

6-8 years’ experience solid work experience as a Forensic Accountant.
ACCA or ACMA qualification.
Bachelor degree (Accounting / Business Administration preferred).
Experience in business development within the insurance or reinsurance markets.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Analytical problem-solving skills.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Pro-active with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
Comfortable working autonomously and shows good initiative.
Dynamic and flexible to meet deadlines and client needs.

Due to the nature of the business and our client base it is important that applicants are fluent in both Spanish and English.
