We are equipped to respond immediately in the aftermath of any catastrophic event, providing an efficient service and handling the increases in volume and complexity to meet policyholders and claimants expectations during the distressful experience of a major loss.
Our experience in catastrophes expands from natural to human events. We have handled claims arising from the major earthquakes, hurricanes / cyclones / typhoons and floods of the last decade. We also have experience in claims arising from terrorist attacks.
Our strong Latin American and Caribbean networks put us in a privileged position to respond rapidly in the case of a hurricane strike. We actively monitor meteorological hazards to ensure that our team is fully briefed and prepared for an imminent deployment.
Our team is equally prepared to respond to less predictable events, such as earthquakes. We have worked extensively in the 2010 and 2014 Chile earthquakes as well as the 2010 Christchurch earthquake and its numerous aftershocks of 2011 and 2012.
In the case of a major event, our extensive network of offices allow us to pull resources from neighbouring countries to ensure claims are handled appropriately and meet our quality standards even during those moments of strain.
