Advanta Bulletin – European floods
Last week several countries in central Europe (including Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic) have been hit by severe flooding. At least 180 people have died and hundreds more are missing.
First and foremost, our thoughts go out to the families of those who have lost their lives and have been affected by this terrible event.
Considering the damages already reported, and those not yet uncovered, a high number of losses are expected and we are well-placed to assist our clients with exposures in the region through our Advanta Office in Germany and representatives of our network in the impacted regions.
ADVANTA has boosted its contingency plan for catastrophic events by securing our capacity to undertake claims in the affected regions. ADVANTA has significant expertise in dealing with catastrophic events and has experience in handling similar losses around the globe. Our teams can provide immediate local assistance on losses related to Property, Energy, BI/ CBI, Liability and Marine.
Having managed losses caused by Hurricane Maria and Irma (2017), the Mexico earthquakes (2017) and recently in Puerto Rico and Jamaica (2020), amongst others, the ADVANTA network of adjusters has proven experience in NATCAT events, with deep knowledge of technical suppliers, damage valuation and mitigation.
